At Welsh Roofing Group, we provide professional roof cleaning and moss removal for homes and commercial properties across Wales. With our damp climate, moss, algae and lichen can build up quickly, trapping moisture against your tiles, blocking gutters and leaving your roof looking tired and neglected. Our experienced team uses safe, proven cleaning methods to restore your roof’s appearance and protect it from long-term damage. From the first inspection to the final clean-up, we focus on care, safety and customer satisfaction.
A clean roof is a healthier roof. Left untreated, moss can lift tiles, hold water against the roof surface and, in colder months, contribute to frost damage and cracking. We use gentle techniques suited to your roof type, avoiding high-pressure methods that can damage tiles and slates, so your roof is cleaned thoroughly without being put at risk.
What’s Included in Our Roof Cleaning Service
We carry out a complete roof clean, including hand removal of moss and debris, gentle soft washing, and the application of a biocide treatment to kill remaining spores and slow regrowth. Once the roof is clean, we clear out your gutters and downpipes so they’re free of moss and debris.
While we’re on the roof, we check for slipped or broken tiles, damaged flashing and other issues, and let you know about anything that needs attention. If any repairs are needed, we’ll explain them clearly and provide a separate quote, with no pressure to go ahead.
Our Roof Cleaning Process
We inspect your roof, assess the level of moss and growth, and talk you through the best cleaning approach for your roof type. You’ll receive a clear written quote outlining the work, timeline and total cost, with no hidden extras. Before starting, we protect your gardens, driveways, windows and surrounding areas, and we leave the site clean and tidy once the job is done.
Tell us what's going on and we'll arrange a time that suits you.
We inspect the job in person, provide a written report and give you a clear, honest price. No pressure, no obligation.
We get the job done to a high standard, then leave your property clean and tidy.
